My experience with this facility was very disappointing. Patients often waited a long time for assistance, and staff seemed unresponsive to basic care needs. Communication was poor, and concerns were not taken seriously. The facility appeared understaffed, which negatively affected patient care and overall safety. I would not recommend this location based on my experience. Long response times when patients asking for help. Staff ignoring call buttons or requests. Poor hygiene or unsafe conditions. Lack of communication with families. Rude or dismissive behavior. RN’s Not knowing Medication and not giving Medication when needed also missed care. RN’s calling patient family saying they are running out of medication and don’t know what to do. RN’s need to be trained properly for this facility affecting patient safety.

Horrible place here they don’t care about their residence. The nurses just be sitting down. On top of that, the therapist is having a relationship with a coworker. What kind of place is this? Is this high school? They both need to get suspended according to California’s laws

This place rocks!!! The staff at Arvin Post Acute are amazing! They consistently go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the patients/residents here are taken care of. There really is something special about this place… They made me feel like I was family! I 100% recommend Arvin Post Acute Care Facility for anyone who needs the level and quality of care they provide! Today is my last day here and I’m going to miss everyone!!!

My stay so far gives this place a 4 star only cause there is no expresso machine. 😆 Staff excellent and very attentive. Nurses are A+ and Administration surpassed all expectations. Thank you Arvin Post Acute ! ❤️

I can’t say enough how lucky I was to be placed in such an amazing place. There’s nothing worse then being placed in a nursing home for care, thank God I was placed at Arvin Post Acute Care. thank you nurse Many for everything you done for me, making me feel important, that I mattered and that it was only temporary until my recovery was complete. To many Amazing people to thank everyone. Where ever you go you’re always going to have people with bad attitudes and work ethics. No one likes to be there, but for that place I really miss the staff and really felt like they did care about me getting Betty. Miss. Lexi you were amazing as well🥰

CNAs are the backbone of the place. Unfortunately lots of people come and go a bit too often…

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My brother is at Arvin Post Acute. The place is clean and has physical therapists and occupational therapists right there at the center. He also likes the food. However, we really had a rocky start with the staff. He was hospitalized twice in the first week he was there. They were not on top of his needs for his diabetes, and part of it, I believe, is the nursing staff, and part of it is probably the doctor’s response. It just took a few weeks to get the nurses to understand what his needs were and to accommodate them. It kind of feels like there was a lack of experience with the nursing staff. My brother can at least advocate for himself, although sometimes he can’t. I am not sure about how they navigate when a patient can’t advocate for themselves and state what their needs are. It’s just kind of concerning that we probably need more hands on deck there. I don’t know the experience extent of the staff, but it kind of felt like it was more of a training ground. The nursing station is centrally located, so all of the hallways are right there. I like that they have physical therapy on-site. They also provide my brother with transportation for his dialysis, which is only just two minutes away from the facility. We’ve had some problems with that one time when he had to wait about two hours for his ride to get back to the nursing home. One time, one of the nurses also had to wheel him there in his wheelchair because there was no transportation, so that’s kind of iffy. We can’t really depend on it 100%.

Overall, it was good except some of the CNA’s had bad attitudes. The administrative staff were great! Therapy did their job, that’s probably why it annoyed me. Haha! The nurses were late wt the pain meds a few times. The room was nice and cool. The food was not food I liked. Most of the staff were friendly. Just a few bad apples.

HORRIBLE PLACE PLEASE DONT SEND UR LOVED ONES HERE !!! They don’t feed their patients, take them to use the restroom when they’re begging the nurses to go or anything. They just stand around and laugh at the patients and neglect them. This place is so sad I feel bad for every patient in this establishment. Never seen people have as little empathy for others than when I was here visiting. Would do zero stars if I could.

I came here to visit family that was recovering after being in the hospital in Bakersfield. The only thing that I have to say about this place is, WOW! From the moment I walked into the building I was greeting with a “Welcome in!” You can feel that the staff is very caring to their patients with lots of activity going on and everyone who passes by checks in to make sure I’ve been helped. I didn’t even know that this place was for rehab! I thought it was some place where you would send your parents when you couldn’t take care of them at home. It’s like a mini recovery hospital, right here in Arvin! I’m impressed with the caring staff and the nurses. Would definitely recommend to consider if you or your family is in need of a place with very friendly and caring staff.

I was between a rock (and an even harder) place after I had my cancer surgery. I was in downtown Los Angeles, and was ready to be discharged. My surgeon would not do it due to the fact I was. And still am, homeless. So, after a lot of waiting and wondering, my social worker got the go to send me to Arvin Post Acute, since I am from Tehachapi, CA. GOD could not have sent me a better place! Right away I knew that whatever happened to me in my recovery process, I was going to get the best care possible. Let me be honest to say I am not an easy person to accommodate/ ever! There is always disputed details to deal with to help me. I kept waiting for my luck to show itself… but nothing ever happened. All the staff, all thr nurses, and all the patients there made my stay there so easy easy. I gained weight and left so happy to have been cared for so well. If you or a family member has need of help with where to go to recover, then thus is the place to go. No matter how far you would have to travel to get there, go. You won’t find anywhere else with their level of caring dedication. Thank you Arvin Post Acute, from the bottom of my heart.

I would not recommend this place for anyone unless it’s a last resort. Virginia had called us when my brother needed placement and we were told about the aggressive therapy program and other things which have all been lies. This place has done next to nothing for him except keep him alive.

The staff not helpful, Bed didn’t work. TV didn’t work. No side rails on the bed you can’t pull yourself up. Heart medicine arrived about nine hours late. Potty chairs are not allowed. Diapers are highly encouraged. Nothing to do but stare at a small picture on the wall or very the beat up (and missing slats) mini blind. Several other patients yellIng 24 hours a day. The building is not maintained. Very depressing.

Taking a moment to share a great experience with Audrey Davis. I pulled something in my knee last night and heard and felt a painful pop! I’m very sore and was considering going to the hospital but I can still bend and move but with some pain and a limp. Audrey quickly got me scheduled with a chiropractor in the area same day, within 2 hours! I’m not sure what the outcome will be but I am very thankful for how quickly Audrey took effective action! She is a very skilled and resourceful individual. I would recommend working with Audrey to anyone in a situation with medical care needs. Great experience. Thank you!
